Circle G's Executive Directors

BJ and MARYANNE GRIMMETT
Ministry requires teamwork, and BJ and Maryanne are grateful to be partnering in the development and growth of Circle G. BJ handles the visioneering, preaching, and horse training, while Maryanne takes care of administration, bookkeeping, and publications. BJ preaches year-round at revivals, special services, youth rallys, and conferences, as well as at equine evangelism events such as training clinics, demos, and targeted rides. BJ and Maryanne will celebrate twelve years of marriage on July 19, 2015. They are joined in this adventure by a Basset Hound named Mabel, Charlie the Chocolate Lab, horses Lilly, Ruby, and Tara, a 31-year-old donkey named Marvin, Moses the cat, and seven chickens, Loretta, Dolly, Patsy, Reba, Barbara, Wynona, and June.

CHAD and SYBIL RODES
With years of retail and business experience, Chad enhance the administrative and public relations aspects of Circle G. But, more importantly, his evangelistic and pastoral experience allows him to provide vital leadership in Circle G's exempt purpose of reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Chad is the pastor of First Baptist Church of Quinwood, WV. He and Sybil have three kids: a daughter named Emma and twin sons named Andrew and Aaron. The Rodes, along with their cat Jasper and dog Maggie, live in Sam Black, WV.

MATT and CHRISSY SHAMBLIN
Matt and BJ were RA partners at Liberty University. With almost fifteen years of pastoral experience coupled with his position as Director of Evangelism for the WV Convention of Southern Baptists, Matt provides invaluable leadership and ministry direction. In addition to Master's Degrees in Theology, Divinity, and Religion, Dr. Shamblin has a Ph.D. in Leadership from Tennessee Temple University.
He and Chrissy are the parents of two daughters, Kelly and Kailey, as well as two very cool dogs, Hershey and Bowden. The Shamblins are from Charleston, WV.

BEN and CHRISTY CHEEK
Ben's vast experience as a small business owner greatly enhances the governance of Circle G Ministry. In addition, as a professional farrier, a member of Happy Trails Cowboy Church, and a horseman with a large network within the equine community, Ben provides essential leadership in the execution of Circle G's mission to reach people for Jesus Christ through equestrian-oriented evangelism and education. He and Christy, along with their kids Gage and Josie and a host of horses, goats, rabbits, dogs, and cats, make their home in Jefferson, NC.

Our Vision

This July, we celebrated eleven years of marriage and ministry together. It’s been an absolute adventure! There’s nothing we’d rather spend our life doing than preaching God’s Word. We have a passion for revival, and we want to grow old ministering to our fellow believers in the traditional church setting. But God is expanding our vision. In addition to what we’re already doing (evangelism through churches), He is calling us to a new avenue of ministry, and we’re so excited to tell you about it. Over the last few years, God has given us a vision for using horses as a tool for reaching multitudes. As we have prayed about this avenue of ministry, God has given some clear direction and open doors.

Picture this: Hundreds, even thousands, of folks riding in the back country, packed into an arena, or gathered around a corral. They’ve come for a horse training clinic or trail ride, but they’ll end up hearing BJ boldly preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Imagine scores of men, women, boys, and girls kneeling in their blue jeans, their cowboy hats dipped low as they bow in prayer before a holy God. Envision countless lives radically changed for all eternity.

That’s what we see. We dream of ministry on two fronts: in the church as well as outside its walls. Just as we want to strengthen and encourage believers, we want to reach those folks who would never set foot in a church but would be willing to come out for a training clinic, expo, trail ride, horse show, or rodeo. We’ve ministered in such events already, and God has moved in a powerful way each time, but there are still so many people yet to be reached.

BJ just completed a year of training with nationally-known clinician Ken McNabb of Ken McNabb Horsemanship. He is honored to be Ken's eleventh certified Master Trainer. As such, BJ is qualified to host training clinics, demos, and targeted rides, all for the purpose of creating a platform for sharing the Gospel. In addition, with a Bachelor's Degree in Religious Studies from Liberty University and almost twenty years of pastoral and preaching experience, he is equipped for speaking at revivals, special services, youth rallys, and conferences. BJ's passion, and that of Circle G Ministry, is to reach as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Tax-Exempt Status

With the help of many ministry advisors and accounting professionals, it was BJ and Maryanne's privilege to take Circle G through the establishment and incorporation process in 2013 and then through the 501(c)3 process in 2013-2014. As of June 2014, Circle G is recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt religious organization with all of the rights, privileges, and responsibilities pertaining thereunto.
